AboitizLand, Inc. has started construction of the clubhouse for Ajoya in Cordova, Mactan Island. Ajoya, a riverside community, is the first Flipino-themed residential development in Cebu, the company said in a statement.
The clubhouse will be completed this year.
AboitizLand Sales Manager Grace Lepiten, Assistant Vice-President for External Affairs Allan Alfon, Vice-President for Marketing and Sales Team Manuel Arbues II lead the groundbreaking for the facility.
Ajoya is AboitizLand’s first community in Cordova town in Cebu. The company said in its website that Ajoya “is a residential and commercial neighborhood of AboitizLand that offers refuge from urban chaos yet accessible to the family’s needs. A place that keeps you in touch with nature reinforced with strong community feel.”
Ajoya’s total area is 15 hectares with a total of 820 saleable units consisting of 67 lots, 14 shop houses, 104 two-storey town houses, 175 two-storey duplexes, 195 1-storey single-detached units, 112 two-storey single-detached medium units and 153 two-storey single-detached large units.
Ajoya is being developed with a “vibrant modern Asian Filipino” theme. “It is a design that evokes subtle images from simple iconic elements of an Asian/Filipino atmosphere inclined with a bit of modern feel,” AboitizLand said.
AboitizLand said Ajoya is unique because it will have a property management team whos members are professionally trained and will “live” with the residents and extend assistance in terms of cleanliness, maintenance and security and safety.
This, the company said, is meant to assure residents of “quality, peaceful and stress-free living.”
AboitizLand said Ajoya will have a row of shophouses near the entrance not only to cater to the residents within Ajoya but also those in neighboring communities.
Ajoya is located in Barangay Gabi, Cordova town, right across Gabi Elementary School. There are two roads leading to the development. You can pass thru Basak road where Pueblo Verde, Gaisano, Mactan Doctors are located and another through Babag road where Marie Ernestine School and Poblacion are located.
Apart from the clubhouse, the development will have a standard-sized basketball court with benches, community assembly area with provisions for Filipino childhood games (tubig-tubig, luksong-tinik, etc.), children’s playground, al fresco picnic area with BBQ station, recreational pool and AboitizLand community shapes in the landscaping.
